The NCHU Summer Program for Global Sustainable Governance

Important Note:

This course includes a hands-on workshop and a field trip to Huisun Forest Farm. A self-funded fee of NT$300 is required. This covers materials for the workshop (6/27), round-trip transportation, admission, English guided tour, and lunch for the field trip (6/28). Insurance is not included, so please arrange your own if needed. The fee will be collected on the registration day.

METHOD OF EVALUATION

1. Attendance (individual grade): 10%
   *To receive a grade for this category, you must attend at least 2/3 of the sessions.
   ※ You are required to be present for every session. Program assistants will take attendance every session.
    
2. Class Participation: 20%
    
3. Debate Session: 30%
   The class would be divided into groups of 6, with 5 people in each group. We will provide three questions, and the groups will argue for/against the questions. The questions will be provided in the introduction session so students will have enough time to prepare. The groups will also be divided on the same day.
    
4. Teamwork Presentation Assignment: 40%
   The groups, as created in the introduction session, will choose one topic to prepare a presentation. These topics can be based on the lecture organized in the summer school or something a group as a whole is interested in researching.
