The School of Law and Political Science of National Chung Hsing University and the Faculty of Law of Hitotsubashi University in Japan have continued their cooperation to host the 2024 International Forum on "Technology Development and Environmental Protection Legal System." The forum focused on the legal issues of modern scientific and technological development and environmental protection. Scholars from the two universities exchanged research results and jointly discussed the balance between global environmental protection and scientific and technological development.

The forum includes multiple reports covering topics such as environmental risks, climate risk management, nuclear energy legality, energy transition and biodiversity, carbon capture technology, wind power legality, and other issues. Scholars analyze the impact of science and technology on the environment from a multi-legal perspective, put forward policy and regulatory recommendations, and explore the role of expert opinions in environmental policies.

The forum emphasized international cooperation and academic dialogue under climate change, focusing on net-zero emission goals and improving related legal systems. Through this event, we aim to promote the coordinated development of technology and environmental protection and achieve a sustainable future.
