    Amid significant transformations in the international political and economic order, the international academic conference titled "Restructuring the New International Political and Economic Order: Addressing Multiple Challenges in Military, Democracy, Economy, and Technology" convened elites from academia, industry, government, and research sectors to discuss pressing issues in current global developments. The conference was held in Taichung for the first time, underscoring central Taiwan's crucial role in international academic exchanges and highlighting Taiwan's strategic consideration of fostering balanced regional development in global affairs.

    The conference featured six thematic sessions covering the EU's Indo-Pacific strategy, the Russia-Ukraine war, the emerging international political and economic order, global security, historical and regional security, and developments in the Indo-Pacific region. Additionally, two roundtable forums were held, providing in-depth discussions on Taiwan's defense industry development and the impact of the 2024 U.S. presidential election. The conference yielded fruitful outcomes, with participants reaching a consensus on various aspects of restructuring the international political and economic order. Scholars emphasized that financial security has become a core element of national strategy, regional security is entering a new era of alliance competition, and technological development profoundly shapes international relations. In summary, this conference facilitated international academic exchanges and offered concrete and actionable policy recommendations for Taiwan to address emerging global challenges.
