The 2024 16th International Academic Symposium and Practical Forum on Public Governance, sponsored by the Institute of National Policy and Public Affairs of National Chung Hsing University, was grandly held on November 9, 2024, at the Social Management Building of Chung Hsing University. With the theme of "Sustainable Process and Forward-looking Governance of Ecological Capital," this event brings together scholars from Germany, the United States, Taiwan, and other places to present an academic event that combines international vision and practical innovation.
One of the highlights was the international forum "Diverse Perspectives on Sustainable Governance of Ecological Capital," led by experts from the University of Texas at Dallas and the University of Marburg in Germany, which provided an in-depth analysis of the challenges and opportunities in global sustainable governance. In addition, the conference set a diverse agenda, including gender mainstreaming and social inclusion, climate change and just transition strategies, cross-domain governance innovation, and the interactive relationship between public opinion and policy, demonstrating the breadth and depth of public governance in practice.
This seminar brought together elites from domestic and foreign academic and practical circles. It included special workshops to conduct practical exercises on just transformation and cross-domain cooperation issues, providing participants with in-depth participation and exchange opportunities. During the event, participants agreed that public governance should actively respond to new challenges brought about by climate change and social change and promote policy innovation with sustainability and equity as the core. This seminar fully demonstrates National Chung Hsing University's leadership in the international academic field while providing a new perspective and practical blueprint for global sustainable governance.
